Not feeling it…
I have been spinning my feet off literally in spin class, strength training to only dream of those abs of steel…and aerobic/step a day a week. Then sunday I try to run, my rythym is not what it used to be, the breathing has changed and it threw me off completely, barely coughed out 2 miles. I also noticed I am more tired in some of my classes. Not sure why the melt down….lost 7 pounds last month, so I know I need to keep up the intensity as to drop more weight will be even harder. the goal is 10 more pounds, but at my age, it is sooooo not fun to do this
Any suggestions why the weak feeling and lack of zest has entered the arena?

Good old Step Aerobics and desire for an idea
A good sweat via familiar moves of many years ago. I am starting to like going to my local Y again, which is where I lost alot of weight 14 years ago. Forgot that it is also a social place. People smile, talk, encourage. I look at my instructors and feel the desire to work hard. Oh to be “one of them”… but then I remind myself, that there was a day… but I am simply not young enough to compete with a woman of 29. However, I am thinking to set a new physical goal, nothing to extreme, as I only did my first 10k at 40 after mucho, 5ks. My goal was to run the Peachtree on July 4 by the time I was 40…well, I did, and was 11 days short of 41. Did it this year in spite of the knees. Trying to think of a something more, but yet within my ability to achieve. Any suggestions out there board?
Remember, I am a full time worker, have two young kids and am taking a language class one day a week… I am up for ideas!!

Run after the Party
Last night, I ate the best pork tenderloin of my life, not to mention more amazing delights, so the diet was crushed. BUT, I am up again, and did a short run before we leave. At least I did something. However, on the way home, Mexican food shot me another wave of temptation, but I practiced moderation except for the fresh lime margarita. However, I know, that one cannot alter a life completely, so hopefully if I keep exercising and being reasonable with food, the pounds will leave.
